Charles is a Senior Associate Architect with Perkins Eastman and has 20+ years of experience leading projects in the Higher Education, Multi-Family, and Senior Living practice areas. He is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a B.A. in Studio Art and a Master of Architecture from the New Jersey School of Architecture.

Charles hails from the Philadelphia suburbs originally but has called Highland Park home for the past 20 years with his wife Gretchen, a Neonatologist with West Penn Hospital, and their children. He is the father of two Ellis alumnae and a current student: Adylade, Class of 2020; Corinne, Class of 2023; and Paige, Class of 2025.

"The opportunity to collaborate with this skilled and vested group to help secure Ellis’ future for generations of Ellis-strong girls will be rewarding,” Charles says.

Board Chair Tomar Pierson-BROWN '97 is enthusiastic about having Charles on the Board. "He brings a level of professional expertise and a perspective on Ellis that nicely complements the composition of the existing board. I am excited to work with him in this capacity.”
